Wild, But Contained. Acrylic on Canvas 40 x 30

This painting became something more than just a piece of work—it became an experience I lived through.

Over the course of two weeks, I found myself completely immersed in it. Every night before going to sleep, I would think about what had taken shape that day… and where it might lead me the next. It stayed with me in a way that’s hard to explain—pulling me back in, layer by layer.

This is one of the most intricate and highly textured paintings I’ve created. Each movement, each buildup of material, felt intentional, but at the same time, I allowed the work to breathe and take on a life of its own. There’s always a balance I’m searching for—between control and freedom—and this piece seemed to find that space naturally.

The process itself was deeply cathartic. It has a way of quieting everything else—every distraction, every pressure—and placing you somewhere else entirely. Not permanently, but long enough to feel it. That’s what I chase in my work.

A friend once said to me, “your work really draws you in,” and I felt that more than ever with this painting. It doesn’t just sit on the surface—it invites you to step into it, to stay with it, and to find something within it that may shift over time.

This piece feels like a natural progression from my previous work. There’s a wildness to it, but it’s held together—contained in a way that gives it strength without taking away its movement.

In the end, this painting is a reflection of that balance—
wild, but contained.
