House on the Hill Acrylic on Canvas 40x 30
In this piece, I stepped slightly away from my usual path. While much of my recent work has centered around the intimacy of lilies and water, here I allowed myself to wander into open land — tall grasses bending in motion, wildflowers scattered freely, and a small house resting quietly against a vast, restless sky.
Though the subject matter shifts, the heart remains the same. I am still searching for tranquility. Still chasing that quiet pause. The sweeping blues overhead carry movement and emotion, while the layered greens below ground the viewer in something steady and alive. The house, perched gently in the distance, becomes a symbol of refuge — a reminder that peace can exist even under dramatic skies.
This painting is about space, breath, and perspective. It holds energy, but it also holds calm. Even as I strayed from the familiar, I found myself returning to what connects all of my work: a desire to create moments of stillness, depth, and quiet reflection within a world that rarely slows down.
