Flowers for Algernon Acrylic on Canvas 40 x 30
Flowers for Algernon was created entirely with palette knives and built through heavy layers of texture and movement. What began as another painting in my vase series slowly became something far more emotional and alive.
The title comes from a book that stayed with me long after I read it years ago. While not a literal interpretation, the painting carries that same feeling of beauty, fragility, hope, and intensity.
This piece felt deeply personal to create. Night after night, I found myself thinking about where the painting wanted to go next, pushing the color, texture, and movement further each time. The result is a work that feels wild, energetic, and full of life.
